marriage wasn’t exactly a concept that angel believed in but for the sake of her friend she’d done everything possible to be the best maid of honor that she could. that probably didn’t include sleeping with the bride-to-be on her hen night, though. when she woke in the morning it was with a thumping headache and a dry mouth, her hand idly feeling across the sheets for her phone until she felt another body and the events of the evening came flooding back. “hey. wake up. now.”

it’s been a while since they’ve seen one another. too long, perhaps. so long that angel found any words to falter in her throat and for her body to automatically turn away from ivy. she couldn’t avoid her, though. she’d missed her far more than she cared to admit. it was harder than she thought it would be not having her person around. so, reluctantly she turned back to face her and gave a half-hearted wave of her hand. “uh... hey, how have you been?”

“have you got the wine open yet?” having just collected their freshly delivered take out from the front door, angel stepped into the kitchen to drop the bag on the counter. “and have you figured out which box has cutlery in it?” she gave a cautious little scan around; can’t for the life of her put together how two people have so much stuff between them.

angel is nothing but upfront, she liked to think of it as a trait that attracted people to her. it had seemed to work so far. they’d been on a few dates now and after finally getting them back to her place she was keen to see where it might go. if they were interested, that is. “listen, i’ve wanted to get you in bed since you first smiled at me, but we don’t have to do this unless you’re sure.”

“would you believe me if i said he fell into my knife?” for a second angel looked a little like a deer caught in the headlights, though her expression soon relaxed as she moved around the room to stand between them and the doorway. “what’s the matter? none of your other girlfriends have ever gone on a murder streak before?”
